Production
A key advantage of the Korchakolskiy Open-Pit Mine is the high quality of its Grade T coal. Its low ash content makes it possible to produce a marketable product without the need for enrichment. The low content of phosphorus and other impurities makes the company’s coal indispensable for metallurgical applications. The company’s product range includes TOMSSH coal (0–50 mm fraction) with varying quality parameters.
The company’s flagship product is PCI (Pulverised Coal Injection) – finely ground coal for injecting into blast furnaces. It serves as a more economical and environmentally friendly alternative to coke in pig iron production. As a result, demand for PCI produced by the Korchakolskiy Open-Pit Mine continues to grow in the global metallurgical industry year after year.
The high quality of the company’s products is confirmed by its in-house technical control department and a modern chemical laboratory, as well as by independent certification.
